Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett and Ghost frontman Tobias Forge got together before the two bands' recent show in Manchester, England for what was billed as a quick mid-tour chat. The encounter was filmed by Metallica's official fan club magazine,So What!
The two musicians talked about owning the same rare guitar, the differences between the two groups' approach to playing live shows and more.
Forge told the American Forces Network about touring with Metallica, "Of course, it means a lot. They've gone from being very far-away idols to over the years becoming basically mentors. They've been so supportive. We've played with them before, but never a consecutive tour like that, so to be able to do a full-on European stadium tour, that's a huge endeavor."
Ghost recently completed a summer European run as special guests of Metallica, and will launch a headlining North American trek on September 13th in Bakersfield, California
