There have been a lot of stories about the weird times when porn sites have surges in traffic . . . or the strange things that people are searching for on those sites. But I didn't see this one coming.
TMZ says the new Joaquin Phoenix movie has apparently inspired people to search for"Joker"-related naughty content on Pornhub.
Supposedly, Pornhub got a massive spike in searches over the weekend . . . and there were more than 741,000 searches involving the word "JOKER" in the first four days following the movie's release. (???)
The biggest surge came Sunday when Pornhub saw 291,628 searches for joker or clown-related porn.
It's unclear if Joaquin Phoenix himself was getting people hot and bothered, but Pornhub did say that there was a spike in 'Harley Quinn' searches when"Suicide Squad"came out . . .
And that character, played by Margot Robbie, is the most popular movie or game character on their site, with over 10 million searches last year alone.
