Dogs Are Turning To A Marijuana Extract For Fireworks Relief

Fireworks fun for human families, but dogs are no fans of the “bangs” and booms.” The decibel level sends them running for cover and sometimes out the door, but there may be some help in the form of puppy pot treats.

CBD infused dog treats are becoming a huge trend, with double digit sales growth in just two years. The extract is not only great as “ doggie xanax” as it’s nicknamed, but the treats seem to help arthritis, inflammation, nausea, and pain. Specialty pet shop owners have seen even more interest in the last week.

There are some things to keep in mind before rushing out to buy the weed treats. They aren’t regulated so poorly made treats could contain THC which is toxic to dogs. You also have to know the correct dosage. It’s best to check with your vet or homeopathic pet specialist first.
