posted by Aaron Zytle -

I'm pretty sure everyone who's ever been in a car would say that their city is the worst city to drive in.  And hey, it turns out approximately 650,000 of them are actually right.  The other 300 million are wrong.

A new study ranked the 100 biggest cities in the country from the best places to drive to the worst.

The rankings are based on 29 different factors, including car and gas prices . . . traffic . . . commute times . . . the quality of roads and bridges . . . accident rates . . . and how harsh the driving laws are.

And the worst city for driving is . . . Detroit.  The rest of the 10 worst are:

San Francisco . . . Oakland, California . . . Philadelphia . . . Seattle . . . Boston . . . New York City . . . Newark, New Jersey . . . Los Angeles . . . and Chicago.

The best city for driving is Raleigh, North Carolina.  The rest of the 10 best are:

Corpus Christi, Texas . . . Orlando, Florida . . . Greensboro, North Carolina . . . Plano, Texas . . . Winston-Salem, North Carolina . . . Durham, North Carolina . . . El Paso, Texas . . . Jacksonville, Florida . . . and Tampa, Florida.
