Resource Officer Suspended For Tasing Sleeping Student

A school resource officer in northern Ohio is in trouble for how she attempted to wake a student.

Officer Maryssa Boskoski is being suspended after she reportedly used a taser to wake up a sleeping student. The incident apparently happened last week at a prep school in Smithville. Police say the high school junior wouldn't wake up for the teacher or the principal, so the school resource officer activated her taser to jolt him awake.

The taser didn't touch the student and he wasn't hurt, but the principal was alarmed and it caused a commotion in the classroom. The chief of police says the school resource officer violated Taser policy and they are considering filing charges.
