According to a new study out of Brown University in Rhode Island, drinking alcohol really CAN help you forget about your bad times and your problems.
The researchers found that when you put down three or more drinks, the alcohol, quote, "hijacks" the part of your brain that creates memories . . . and it keeps it from forming some of the BAD ones.
That's why when you think back on your wildest nights, you have lots of memories of the fun stuff you did . . . but you don't remember much about being dizzy, throwing up, or passing out in a pile of garbage.
And the researchers think this could be one of the reasons why people become addicted to booze . . . they like that alcohol helps them forget about all the bad stuff they're dealing with.
