"I'll have a Bud" might be taking on a new meaning. Budweiser is teaming up with Canadian pharmaceutical and cannabis company Tilray to research drinks laced with cannabis. The world's biggest brewer is the latest major company to look into the marijuana market after Canada and nearly a dozen U.S. states have legalized recreational weed.
For now, Bud is exploring using cannabis ingredients only in Canada. The company that brews Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob, Rolling Rock, LaBatt and other brands says it will decide later whether beverages with pot make commercial sense.
