A fisherman in Florida chartered a boat one afternoon to do a little fishing off the coast. What he didn't count on was spending eight hours of the trip reeling in one of the biggest fish ever caught in Florida history.
Captain Nick Stanczyk took a group of clients out on his charter boat, unaware that he was about to make the catch of a lifetime. He led them to a location off the coast of Islamorada, Florida, a known spot for swordfish sightings. About 10 minutes after setting the bait, Stanczyk noticed they had a bite. He just didn't realize how big a bite it was.
For the next eight hours, the crew and the fisherman worked to bring the fish up on the boat and when they finally reeled him in, they couldn't believe it. When they got back to shore, it took seven people to get the fish off the boat, but it ended up being worth it. The fish weighed in at a ridiculous 757.8 pounds. To celebrate, he cooked up some swordfish steaks on the grill.
