The Killers Seemingly Tease New Album Tracklist With Cryptic Instagram Post

We knew that The Killers have been hard at work on their sixth studio album this year, and it looks like some good progress has been made because on Wednesday (October 8) the band posted a cryptic photo on Instagram that seemingly reveals the project's tracklist (along with symbols and initials that have us scratching our heads). Though there's no caption accompanying the picture, it shows a list of what we can only assume are 13 song titles written on a whiteboard. The working titles include “Blowback,” “Party People,” “Spirit of Mystery” and “When Dreams Run Dry." The Killers' politically charged single "Land of the Free" is notably absent from the list.

Check out the cryptic post below.

Back in April, frontman Brandon Flowers confirmed that the band was working on new music during an interview with NME.

"We’ve been at it for a few months," he divulged. "The idea is to try and get something that we’re excited about – maybe about one song a week. So far, we’ve hit that target and the list is growing. We’ll take inventory here soon and see what we’ve got."

"We’ve been in Utah doing it," he continued. "That’s where I fell in love with music for the first time; so it’s interesting to be there again and hear some of that music with the geography matching the sensation. Some of that stuff is starting to resurface and a lot of that had to do with synthesiser music. It’s always been part of our DNA but it’s definitely creeping up."
