Metallica's Kirk Hammett, Cheap Trick and Pat Benatar are among several artists contributing instruments to a new charity auction. Gibson Gives and Julien's Auctions "Played, Worn and Torn" auction features 15 instruments that have been played on stage and signed by some of music's biggest artists. The list of instruments also includes some played by Lzzy Hale, Rise Against, Mana and the All-American Rejects. Hammett's donation is a guitar that he played during Black Sabbath's "Back to The Beginning" festival earlier this year. Bidding is open on Julien's Auctions' official website between now and November 20th. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Gibson Gives, supporting musicians worldwide through music education and health and wellness programs.

No Doubt are adding six more shows to their 2026 "Live at Sphere" residency due to strong demand. The group announced that the new shows for "No Doubt Live at Sphere" will take place on June 3rd, 5th, 6th, 10th, 12th, and the 13th. General tickets go on sale this Friday. The new dates come after the band previously added half a dozen shows last month for May 2026.

The headliners are Iron Maiden, Bring Me the Horizon, Limp Bizkit, and The Offspring. Other major acts include Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Opeth, Napalm Death, and Behemoth. The festival features six stages with performances across different genres of metal and hard rock. Hellfest is one of Europe's biggest metal festivals and drew 180-thousand people in 2019. The event was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic but returned in 2022 with two weekends of shows. Around 90 percent of the lineup comes from international acts, with 20 percent of attendees traveling from other countries.
