JACK WHITE RELEASES TWO NEW SONGS, UNVEILS ALBUM TITLE

Jack Whitereleased two new songs on Wednesday (January 10th), titled "Connected By Love" and "Respect Commander." The album is called Boarding House Reach, although White has yet to confirm a release date. "Connected By Love" was recorded with musicians who regularly play in the hip-hop world. This Saturday (January 13th), for one day only, “Connected By Love” and “Respect Commander” will be available on limited-edition seven-inch vinyl at Third Man Records’ stores in Nashville and Detroit.    CHRIS CORNELL, OZZY, TOM MORELLO, OTHERS STAR IN NEW 'PROMISE' CAMPAIGN VIDEO

A new public service announcement video has arrived for "The Promise" campaign, in which the children of late Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell and a bevy of musicians, actors and other celebrities pledge their dedication to speak out against genocide and other human rights violations. Variety premiered the video on Wednesday (January 10th). It features Cornell's song "The Promise," which he wrote and recorded for the 2017 film of the same name that addressed the Armenian genocide during World War One. Cornell donated all proceeds from the song to the International Rescue Committee, a charity that responds to humanitarian crises and aids people stricken by conflict.

DOCUMENTARY ON VAN HALEN IN THE WORKS, SAYS MICHAEL ANTHONY

Ex-Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony has confirmed that a documentary about his former band is in production. Anthony posted on Instagram on January 6th, "Filmed an interview today for a Van Halen documentary in the works. Brought up many great memories! I'll let you all know when it will air." Few details about the production are known at this time, including whether other past and current Van Halen members are participating in the film. 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the group's groundbreaking self-titled debut album.
