As an actor, you know Jon Favreau from flicks like “Rudy” and “Swingers.” He’s built a solid rep as a director, too, with a couple “Iron Man” movies and “Elf” under his belt. But now, it looks like he’s going to dive face-first into the “Star Wars” universe. Disney’s confirmed that Favreau will be taking the reigns of their new “Star Wars” series, which will be on the company’s direct-to-consumer platform. However, there’s no release date for when this thing will be a reality.
