NEW APP ALLOWS RESTAURANTS TO CHARGE USERS JUST TO USE THE BATHROOM

Luluapp is a mobile app that, for a fee, promises to direct users to the nearest available bathroom, and it says it already has more than 100 New York city restaurants and bars signed up ahead of its summer launch.

The app generates a digital "bathroom pass" costing anywhere from 99 cents for a 'low-end' bathroom, to $5 for a swanky bathroom trip. The restaurant or bar gets 65 percent of the fee. Getting that extra income could certainly help restaurants pay their soaring rent costs.
