Usually you don't expect any questionable phrases to be associated with a church, but a message posted on a church's notice board in Australia has certainly raised some eyebrows. The board, at the Surfer's Paradise Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit reads, "Forgiveness is swallowing when you'd rather spit." A spokesman for the church told the Brisbane Times the sign means "swallow your words and think before you say anything." After politician John-Paul Langbroek shared a photo of the sign on Twitter, it quickly went viral.
