Bezos unveiled a large model of the lander during an event in the nation's capital yesterday. He remarked that his space company, Blue Origin, has been working on the lander for three years. It'll be able to land more than three tons of cargo on the surface of the moon.
There's speculation that Blue Origin may be aiming for the Shackleton crater, which is at the moon's south pole and is believed to have frozen water. The lander is named “Blue Moon.”
