A group gathered to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of tall people. Last Thursday, a total of 850 vertically-gifted people gathered at Galgenwaard Stadium in the city of Utrecht. The Guinness rules categorize tall women as being at least 5 feet, 9 inches, and men as at least 6 feet, 2 inches.
A 2016 study found that Dutch men are the tallest in the world, averaging six-feet in height. Dutch women are second to Latvian women, averaging five-feet-five inches.
The record setting event was part of an annual for tall people throughout Europe.
