A few months ago, there was talk that the classic children's show"The Banana Splits"was being used as the backdrop for a HORROR MOVIE. And now there are a few more details.
Mainly, it's going to be HARDCORE. The MPAA has given the movie an R-rating for "horror violence and gore."
It's about a boy who attends a taping of"The Banana Splits"TV show with his family. Then things "take an unexpected turn" . . . which is presumably where the horror violence and gore come in. The movie will hit home video later this year before airing on Syfy.
