Thirty-two coupes tied the knot at Riot Fest over the weekend.
The Chicago festival shared a few photos of weddings that took place on Thursday (September 16) on its social media channels, promising “lots more photos to come.” Fans dropped comments on Riot Fest’s post, calling the weddings “INCREDIBLE,” hailing the fashion choices (“THE OUTFITS ARE EVERYTHING”) and congratulating all the Riot Fest newlyweds.
Riot Fest was forced to cancel its 2020 festival because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but promised “more bands, and headliners, and surprises” when officials announced the 2021 dates — and much of the lineup — last year. Artists included Smashing Pumpkins, Rise Against, Simple Plan, Slipknot, Run the Jewels, Coheed and Cambria, Alkaline Trio and tons of others.
Riot Fest is already hyping fans for 2022, slated for September 16 through 18 next year.
Riot Fest launched in 2005 (giving away tickets on its Myspace page), kicking off the “a multi-day music festival specializing in punk, rock, alternative, metal, and hip-hop. Carnival Rides, amazing food vendors, sideshow performers, and more add to the atmosphere of this independent music fest.” It expanded to a more spacious venue, Humboldt Park, and to other cities in 2019, marking its 15th year.
