Riot Fest is back with another impressive lineup. The festival, which focuses on punk and rock acts, has a little bit of something for lovers of any rock genre, boasting indie darling Beck, pop punk icons Fall Out Boy, and metal legends Slayer as headliners.
Other notable performers include Pavement, St. Vincent, Public Enemy, Bright Eyes, Dr. Dog, Waxahatchee, Rob Zombie, Spoon, Cypress Hill, Tierra Whack, Something Corporate, The Armed, Beach Bunny, Gel, Drug Church, Taking Back Sunday, Fiddlehead, Basement, Sum 41, and Sublime featuring late singer Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob.
There will also be a few bands performing full albums this year, including the Offspring playing Smash, Manchester Orchestra playing Cope, and Mastodon playing Leviathan. There will also be some special sets throughout the weekend, including Bob Marley’s sons performing his music, and NOFX playing a farewell performance every day of the three-day festival with fellow punk rockers Descendents, Circle Jerks, Pennywise, Buzzcocks, Dead Milkmen, The Exploited, The Lawrence Arms, The Vandals, The Dickies, Cobra Skulls, and Laura Jane Grace (playing an Operation Ivy tribute set).
Riot Fest is going down September 20-22 and is changing locations from Douglass Park in Chicago to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.
